Kieran as a Flower Girl

Kieran and her cousin, Hannah did a great job as flower girls in Jon's sister's wedding. There are more wedding pictures at http://www.dunnetteupdate.blogspot.com/ . There was a rather large gaggle of little girls at the reception - they loved being able to let loose and rip up the dance floor. I had Kiki and Hannah's red dresses made in Pakistan.

School Friends

This is Kiki and her school friend, Ben. They are in the same class together.

Bunnies

We bought Kieran some rabbits to play with as an alternative to watching so much Finding Nemo on T.V. She loves it!! She is very good at being gentle with them and treats them like little babies. Whenever we ask her what she wants to name them she says, "Bunny!" and has a look on her face like, "duh!"

Our cleaning lady is extremely poor, so when the rabbits have babies and after they are weaned we'll give the adults to them to eat or sell and then start over.

Uncle Steve and Auntie Michelle

Kieran really misses her Uncle Steve and Auntie Michelle from the UK. She even named one of her dolls "Auntie Michelle doll." As you can see it actually does look like Michelle! Uncle Steve isn't pictured here, but he gave Kiki the hard hat as a gift. She loves it.

A Puppy!

A friend grabbed a street puppy and decided to give it to Kieran as a gift a few days ago. We had to give it back because Jon is an animal hater, but Kiki found that her stuffed polar bear could eat out of the puppies' dish just as easily.

Potty Training

Kiki used the potty for the first time 2 days ago!! She's proudly showing off her reward... a piece of Extra bubble gum.

New Year's Christmas

We had our little family Christmas today. We read a toddler friendly version of the Christmas story and then opened gifts. We didn't need to buy Kiki and presents this year because you all sent so many gifts for her through Dad - thank you for helping to make this Christmas special for us! Kieran is now squishing her new mermaid toys into her new play dough while holding her new neon teddy bear and watching a Boz video. What a multi-tasker! I'm wondering how on earth to dress the mermaid doll. MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Red Dress

Kieran is wearing the same red dress that I wore at her age for similar pictures. This dress is special because my Grandma Smith made it from the velvet cloth that Mom's bridesmaids wore in her wedding.
