Coloring in the Boat

Kieran enjoys playing, napping and apparently coloring in her "boat."

Swimming in the "Poodle"

Kieran loves to go, "Swimming in the water in the poodle." We try and make time to take her a few times a week. She's getting very brave (a little too brave) about jumping in and scooting around the edges of the pool while hanging onto the side.

Kieran also loves to count things. Last week while swimming she spotted 3 older ladies doing water aerobics and squealed, "One, two grandmas!" Thank goodness all of the ladies actually were grandmas, because everyone in the pool heard her shout it!

Zahra's B-day party

Kieran attended Zahra's birthday tonight. Zahra is 5 today. Kieran didn't want to participate in any of the activities except the craft. She spent most of her time painting glitter glue onto things that she probably shouldn't have. I learned today that magicians that perform at children's birthday parties are creepy in this culture too. Happy Birthday Zahra!

Crash

Kieran was jumping onto Jon's back from the couch as he sat on the coffee table. Jon kept bucking her off onto the couch in a game that lasted 20 mintues. One time after he launched her onto the couch she didn't try to climb back onto his back. She had fallen asleep on the floor in a matter of seconds!

Jofus

Friends of ours came to visit us this weekend from out of town. They have a son named, "Jofus" (Josef). He and Kieran didn't get along very well, but they got a lot sharing practice done!

Happy Birthday Kieran!

Yesterday was Kiki's 2nd birthday. We celebrated at home with some close friends. Her favorite gift was a Dora tent that we set up for her in the living room. She moved her toy box into it and also likes to hide inside of it when it's time to take her medicine.

Bath Time!

Kieran decided that she needed a bath after lunch today. While Jon and I were clearing the table she managed to take off her shirt and shorts, over-fill the tub, drop in a bar of soap, and hop on in.

Lellow

I went to pick Kieran up from school today and I asked her, "Did you learn about the color yellow today?" She leaned forward and stuck her finger out and said, "No, LEL-LOW!" The picture in this posting is of Kieran's artowrk on our wall. Which reminds me...she's been averaging around 1 time-out every day. Yesterday she informed Jon that; "Daddy whine get time-out!" Last week we caught her giving her stuffed monkey a time-out for hitting.

Kieran is learning about the color red this week in preschool. I am learning how to get red paint out of clothing. Next week Kieran will learn about the color "lellow."
